Proposed Changes to Federal Anti-Discrimination Laws

 

A new Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Bill 2012 (“Exposure Draft”) has been drafted with the intention to consolidate and implement changes to existing anti-discrimination laws.

The Exposure Draft aims to consolidate the:

• Age Discrimination Act 2004;
• Disability Discrimination Act 1992;
• Racial Discrimination Act 1975;
• Sex Discrimination Act 1984; and
• Australian Human Rights Commission Act 1986.
