It’s that time of year again when the Income Tax deadline for 2014 is fast approaching - 31st October 2015.

As always you may avail of the extended dealdine of 12th November 2015 if you intend to pay in full and file online through the pay and file system.

It is always advisable that you gather your information early to ensure your return is processed well in advance of the deadline so you can be advised of any tax due in good time.

Capital Gains Tax

31 October 2015 is the deadline for submitting your Capital Gains Tax return detailing transactions which occurred in the period 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2014.

If you are filing a Form 11 return the CGT details are contained therein. If you are not obliged to file a Form 11 return, the relevant return is a CG1.

The deadline date for filing your CGT return differs from the deadline date for paying the tax due. Click here  for more details on the payment dates for Capital Gains Tax.

Capital Acquisitions Tax

The Income Tax deadline is not just about Income Tax! You should also note that 31 October 2015 marks the deadline for filing a return of any gifts or inheritances which you may have received between 1st September 2014 and 31st August 2015.
