Hi there,

They promised to keep us productive and connected, no matter where we were working. But ‘productivity’ tools are, it turns out, far from productive for business, or for those at the coal face.

In fact, a new report says we’re losing an hour a day just switching between apps. And then there’s the interruption factor as well. Turns out an overload of apps is creating knowledge silos and creating confusion and mistakes – though I suspect many of us didn’t need a report to tell us that.

It’s a noisy digital environment, and it’s driving us to distraction. Now the question is what are we going to do about it?
