What are ILF Scholars Thinking? The CEO of the ILF is often asked what our Scholars are thinking about various business related issues. To help me give accurate answers I propose to seek your thoughts through questions in the bulletin. The June question was “Should our borders with other states : - Be opened now?
- Be opened selectively with states where the risk of infection is as low as in SA?
- Remain closed until it the risk of infection is safe in all states?
Everyone who entered, answered No. 2.

Geoff Vogt's COVID-19 Adventures At the meeting of the ILF Scholars committee I was asked to pen a short article about my life during COVID19. The committee felt what I consider to be mundane would be of interest to Scholars. You will have to be the judge of that. The “things” include:
• A COVID19 test at the RAH.
• Having lunch prepared fresh every day I was home by my wife, Lisa, who is an expert self-taught cook.
• The new stove.
• Watching Lisa act as delivery agent for our Sydney based daughter’s 1994 Honda Civic Hatchback which is listed on carsales.com.au.
• Listening to tales of life In Peru from the family of my wife, Lisa.
• Conducting for the first time board meetings for KeyInvest, Centennial Park, Brownhill Keswick Creek Stormwater Authority by Zoom and Teams.
• Remotely arranging building renovations around Australia for the Joint Military Police Unit rather than on site. The COVID19 test was a bit slow on a cold winter morning because the clinic was waiting for a resupply of test kits. The waiting room was a tent with well- spaced plastic picnic chairs and no heating. The test itself was actually two tests, one down the throat and one up the nose. The nurse said it might bring a tear to the eye, but it would be quick. It was quick and felt rather like I had swallowed a fly that was crawling in my gullet.
