Juno Beach Police Foundation

Helping to enhance the safety of Juno Beach

October 22, 2025 — Volume 8 Number 17

This Saturday, October 25, help make Juno Beach safer and lighter—without leaving your car. From 10:00 a.m. to Noon, the ShredFest (co-sponsored by the Juno Beach Civic Association and the Juno Beach Police Foundation) will run side-by-side with the National Drug Takeback Day event—managed nationally by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and conducted locally by the Juno Beach Police Department and Police Foundation. The Drug Takeback continues until 2:00 p.m.

Location: Oceanview United Methodist Church, 701 Ocean Drive (parking lot).

How It Works

  • Stay in your car. Police Officers and Police Volunteers collect medications curbside.
  • We lift the heavy stuff. Civic Association volunteers—assisted by young helpers—remove boxes of paper for secure shredding.
  • In and out quickly. It's a smooth, drive-up flow for maximum convenience.

As a small thank-you, the Juno Beach Police Foundation will offer everyone who participates a free clip-on bottle of hand sanitizer—handy for a purse, bag, or briefcase (while supplies last).

What to Bring

  • Drug Takeback: Unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter pills (keep in original containers or sealed bags).
  • ShredFest: Paper documents and folders for secure on-site shredding.

Items We Cannot Accept

  • Drug Takeback: No sharps (needles, syringes, razors) and no liquids.
  • ShredFest: Paper only—no metal or metallic items (e.g., CDs, DVDs, binder rings, clips).

Free Event — Community Support Welcome

Both events are free. If you're able, a $10 (or larger) donation to the Juno Beach Civic Association is greatly appreciated and helps fund future community programs.

Clean out the medicine cabinet, empty those file boxes, and roll through this Saturday. You'll protect your privacy, help prevent misuse of medications, and support the safety of friends and neighbors across Juno Beach.
