Don't miss this Sunday! We're celebrating a Christmas Lord's Supper that will blow your mind.

But I probably don't need to bribe you. We aren't of the kind who casually announce:  "I can worship anywhere."  "I don't need the church!"

Those that regularly pronounce those words do so because of course there is a kernel of truth there (worship is a lifestyle not an event). But they sadly miss the deeper significance of worship. We were rescued for family. God loves family time! He calls His kids to sit together around His table and do life together.

God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. -Psalm 68:6

When we gather together it not only blesses God - it changes us!  Sometimes it's a "word" from God. Sometimes it's a whispered reminder that I am not alone. More often it's the small ways God uses us to lift someone else to His presence. That's it! Sometimes the most significant thing that happens is not to me! God using our faithfulness to lift others up - my child, my spouse, my friend at Disco, or maybe even the nervous first-timer who is looking for another friendly face to make it all ok.

So, don't miss. God is doing great things.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. - Hebrews 10:24-25
