F4C/Building Expansion

Please join us for an important Town Hall on August 20th, 6:00pm, for an update on the building expansion plans. You can also click here to check out the status of the church vision: “Frederick For Christ- Multiplying the Gospel to Reach the Next Generation and Neighborhood.” This will take you to our special webpage to view the development and plans in the ongoing process of building expansion and multiplying campuses. You'll find links to the Frederick for Christ vision presentation, Town Hall and Congregational Meeting audio, and multiple files that contain meeting minutes, graphics, and construction plans. You'll also be able to read our answers to FAQs, and there's a form to submit your own questions to our staff and Elders.

Time to Get Connected

Are you connected at MVCC?  Home Groups are 10-16 people who meet together regularly to share, study, support and serve. Home Groups are the best way to meet others, build relationships, and grow in your faith here at MVCC. Open season is the time for you to choose the Home Group you will commit to for the 2017-18 school year.  Here is how it works:

1.       Check out the groups listed in the lobby.
2.       Decide on the location of the group you want to join.
3.       Sign up individually on each open space for the group that meets your needs.
4.       Fill out the registration card and turn in.
5.       Wait for the email or phone call inviting you to attend.

What is your "next step"?

What is Serve 272?

Each month the Children's Ministry at Mountain View has over 272 opportunities to serve!  We have openings both in the classroom as a teacher or helper, or out of the classroom as part of our worship/tech team or security/connector team.  If weekends aren't good for you, we have plenty of opportunities to help prepare classrooms and materials. We are asking every parent to click here for the Serve 272 form, fill it out, and hand it in THIS weekend. If you have any questions or need a copy of the form sent to you, please contact laura.dandrea@mvccfrederick.com.

"Discerning the Voice of God"  by Priscilla Shirer will be held Tuesday mornings beginning September 5, 2017 from 9:30 - 11:30  in the adult classroom. The meeting dates are: 9/19, 10/3, 10/17, 10/31, 11/14, and 11/28. Please reserve November 7th as well for our care/service project. Lysa TerKeurst's "Uninvited" will be the focus of a home bible study for single women. In this six-session video Bible Study, Lysa TerKeurst digs deep into God’s Word  to help you explore the roots of rejection, the way other relationships get tainted because of a past rejection, and the truth about what it looks like to live loved. Start date is September 15th and meetings will be held every other Friday at 7:00pm at Sandra Pechnik's home in Urbana. 15-spaces are available. To sign up, email Sandra at slpechnik@gmail.com

Hey guys, "Be Still". That's the theme for Expedition '17, our annual men's retreat in late fall. Plans are taking shape for this fantastic fellowship event,  so keep checking this space as well as the web page, church bulletin, Facebook, and twitter, for updates on registration and a rundown of activities. You may place these items in the Operation Christmas Child bin in the lobby.  Questions? Contact Beth Stafford at bethann311@comcast.net.

Please stop by the MOPS table in the lobby this weekend to find about this year's theme, program, how to register for the 2017-18 season, and a chance to receive a cash gift card. MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) starts in September and will  meet through May, 2018. Meetings are held the second Monday of each month from 9:15-11:15am, here at Mountain View Community Church. For general questions about MOPS, please contact Lynn Jerore by email: l_jerore@comcast.net. On an additional note, for those of you who missed the June 25th Congregational Meeting, here is a link to Pastor Guy’s presentation about where MVCC currently stands with MOPS, and why we as a church have decided to “phase out” of MOPS over the next 12 months.
