Solar account portlet: All solar energy yields on the system level
The new solar account portlet provides you with an overview in VCOM of the solar energy yields of all systems. If needed, a graphic showing individual monthly and annual yields can be displayed as well. You can also download the data as CSV or XLS files. The portlet is available on the system level.
The configuration is done in the administration interface, which can be reached by clicking the wrench icon in the menu bar.
Compatibility with Siebert display
-
blue’Log X series supports the Siebert display XC series
With Siebert displays in the XC series, you can bring the performance of your solar energy system to visible life. In the foyer, in the lobby or in an outdoor area used by the general public.
You will find more information on the Siebert display on the manufacturer's homepage.
New inverter drivers
-
Refusol driver
Communications with inverters can now be done via the ethernet (TCP). Both the monitoring of the inverters and power control are supported via the ethernet.
Data sheet
-
Delta driver
The inverters made by Delta Energy Systems are now supported by the data loggers of our blue'Log X series.
Delta inverters are now supported by blue'Log.

CSV download of the diagram display
With the new CSV download function, you can download the displayed measured values of a diagram in a MS-Excel compatible CSV format for additional processing. You may use this function for all graphical diagrams.
USB firmware update via the blue’Log website
You can now perform a firmware update with a USB flash drive via the blue’Log website. This option is provided to you as an additional service on the firmware page.
Transmission interval to VCOM: optimized configuration
Recorded measurement data of the blue’Log is transmitted as quickly as possible to VCOM or, via ftp-Push, to a freely selectable ftp server. The transmission interval will automatically correspond to the configured data recording interval.
Energy production and use can be efficiently linked and balanced with the help of smart metering systems. These systems also facilitate a high degree of consummption transparency. But such a system requires reliable protection and security during data transmission and processing. The central component is a communication unit with an integrated security module, the smart meter gateway. It is currently being introduced in Germany.
This step to increase IT security also affects the operation of PV systems, something that is particularly relevant for remote-monitoring functions. The requirements of the Technischen Richtlinie TR-03109 des Bundesamts für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik (BSI) zur konformen Kommunikation für intelligente Messsysteme
(the technical guideline TR-03109 of the German Office for Information Security on compliant communications for smart measuring systems) are very high. To be able to implement them quickly, meteocontrol is working with Hessware GmbH of Mannheim and the Ulm University of Applied Sciences as part of the research project “CLS Applications – Digitalization Energy Transition – Made in Baden-Württemberg.” The sponsor Projektträger Karlsruhe (PTKA-BW) based at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is funding this project for the period of September 1, 2016, to December 31, 2017.
Initial results show that the blue’Log X series can be integrated into this secure infrastructure with the help of Hessware solutions which means it is ready for the future. Are you interested in this topic?
Then, you should visit Hessware GmbH at the E-World in Essen on February 7 - 9, 2017: Hall 6, Booth 6-112. Learn about our development work. The employees of Hessware will be happy to provide you with in-depth information about this topic.
On February 7, 2017, we will offer a training course on monitoring hardware in our Augsburg offices. Training on the monitoring portal will be held on the next day, February 8.
Slots for both training sessions are still available. You can sign up easily and quickly by using the registration form on our homepage. We look forward to your participation!
