GECA Recognised by United Nations Global Compact and US EPA

Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) has recently been recognised by two major international sustainability organisations after joining the United Nations Global Compact and also receiving official acceptance from the United States Environmental Protection Agency for three standards. GECA’s CEO, Kate Harris, described the achievements as “two big wins for GECA and for manufacturers certified under our ecolabel”. Read more.

Transitions Film Festival

Transitions Film Festival is returning to Sydney March 9 with an inspirational line up of world-changing films. To celebrate, we have a double pass to give away to The Chocolate Case, screening Monday March 13th at 8:45pm at Dendy Cinema, Newtown.

The Chocolate Case follows the three bold and cheeky Dutch journalists as they uncover child labour in the cocoa production chain. The film is both a powerful expose of the deeply entrenched problems of the cocoa supply chain, and a truly inspirational story about the power and passion of dedicated individuals to bring about systemic change in the world.

Leadership in Sustainability Summit

ACTS (Australasian Campuses Towards Sustainability) are running Leadership in Sustainability Summits in three major cities to help refresh our individual and collective leadership vision, energy and impact in ways that are best attuned to the times. GECA's CEO, Kate Harris, will be speaking at the Sydney summit.

These unique sessions will interest senior leaders, leadership teams and sustainability professionals from all sectors, introducing best in class content that has been validated through executive education programs offered at Harvard University.

Total Facilities 2017

Total Facilities presents two days of discussion and discovery for Facilities Managers and like-minded professionals. Sydney Build 2017

Sydney Build is back for 2017! GECA is proud to be a Supporting Partner, as well as exhibiting and presenting at the event, which runs from 30-31 March 2017 at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion. Kate will be speaking at 10:30am on 30 March about how to source, design and use sustainable materials to build a healthy, sustainable home.

Sydney Build 2017 will feature new exhibitors, speakers and themes, covering everything from sustainability to digital construction and BIM. There are also prize giveaways, networking opportunities and CPD points available.
