Chistmas is a time for reflection, for savouring traditional values, for recording the passage of time, for preserving the best bits of the past. All of which characteristics also belong to the medieval city of Regensburg - and not just at Christmas time! Germany's 'medieval miracle' is a UNESCO World Heritage Site which straddles the Danube with its old stone bridge.
