Our goal is to support teachers in delivering effective and high-quality physical education to their students. One of the easiest ways of doing this is making sure teachers have easy access information on sporting clinics, sport and recreation services and professional learning opportunities.

Royal Life Saving ACT
Bookings for 2018 swimming and water safety programs have started!
Aquasafe:
Is a unique water safety and awareness program designed specifically for Year 2 students in the ACT. The program consists of a 2-week (10-day) block of pool-based sessions and 5 x 40 minute classroom sessions.
Swim and Survive Active:
Swim and Survive is a great program for schools as it provides a progressive curriculum across a number of strands and combines the learning of practical skills with the understanding and application of water safety knowledge.

National Rugby League
The Clyde Rauter Shield Event is coming up in November!
The 13 a side, tackling event caters to Year 7,8,9 and 10 male students. There will be 3 separate events, a North and South Canberra specific event, followed by a finals day!

Athletics
LAPS is a school-based program that teaches the basic skills of track and field to primary school students. The program develops basic running, jumping and throwing skills through highly active and fun sessions delivered by current accredited coaches. LAPS is an inclusive program and can be adapted to suit any level of ability.
Golf
Central Southern Golf Association girls holiday camps! There are multiple events from one day sessions, to 7 weeks programs available. The sessions are for is a camp for girls between the ages of 6 and 18 years. Softball
Registrations for the up-coming softball summer comp are open! For details on clubs and locations, click here.
Softball 7's- This is a competition open for ages 12 to adults! The competition is a modified version of traditional softball:
- 7-a-side social mixed softball
- Every player bats each inning
- Easy to learn rules
- 4 innings game played in under an hour
- A new pitcher each inning
- High scoring: every base gained is a run
- Ball is pitched slower, means more hits

Orienteering
Orienteering instruction with a focus on girls!
Target Age: 10 – 14 yr old girls (+ parent/guardian present).
When: Friday afternoons 5pm- 6pm

Who: Girls (and MUMS!) with an appetite for adventure!

Term 4 will see a new before school orienteering opportunity to ACT primary school children. The relay style event will have teams composed of 2 boys and 2 girls, kicking off at 8am-9am on the following dates:

Summer 2017 Map Mates will commence with a welcome event on 18 October.

2017 ACT Orienteering Primary School Championships
The OACT Primary School Championships will be held on Wednesday 22 November, 2017. There are no selection requirements, however, it's recommended that children have done two events before. This event is perfect for children who have done orienteering through a Sporting

The course is aimed at individuals who are looking to develop their volleyball knowledge to coach at a club and/or school level. Futsal 5s Summer Football Connect program! The Futsal 5's Summer Football Program gives players a chance to try futsal, learn new skills and continue their football year round.
