The businesses that rely on us to splash some cash aren’t feeling very positive about the year to come.
As part of our Face Value project, where we analyse outlook reports in company results, we looked at the sentiment of Australia’s top businesses. It is low in some sectors because of the fear we won’t open our wallets, and that’s justified given our low wages and high house prices, writes economist Ross Guest.
