Coffee With A Cop is back!

With the easing of County requirements and guidance, the Town has decided to reinstate the monthly Coffee With A Cop program on the first Wednesday of each month.

The next gathering will be on Wednesday, March 2nd at 9:30 AM. Come and meet our Police Chief, his Officers, and Volunteers. Learn more about Police activity, get crime prevention tips, and enjoy a cup of coffee and a donut - compliments of the Dunkin' Donuts at 803 Donald Ross Road.

We look forward to seeing you at 9:30 AM this Wednesday
at the Juno Beach Town Center.

March 8th is Election Day in Juno Beach!

Two candidates are running for Juno Beach Town Council Seat #5 and while the Police Foundation does not give political endorsements, we look forward to working with the successful candidate.

The Town polling location is at the Juno Beach Town Center, 340 Ocean Drive. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. on March 8th

Police Foundation Grants

Your Juno Beach Police Foundation recently approved four Grant Requests from Chief of Police, Brian Smith.

  • Vehicle Transition Expenses - With the growth and success of the Police Department's Citizen Patrol, Chief Smith agreed to provide them with a more suitable patrol vehicle. Funding to take a currently in-use unmarked vehicle and add the necessary lettering and equipment was requested of and approved by the Police Foundation. The vehicle should be in operation around the time you receive this newsletter. Approved Grant Request - $4,000.

  • Rapid ID Evolution Fingerprint Scanner - With the increasing number of undocumented individuals that our Police Officers are encountering and the need to properly identify them, Chief Smith asked the Police Foundation to fund a Rapid ID fingerprint scanner. The hand-held scanner will allow Officers on the street to take these individuals fingerprint and through the integrated smartphone, transmit it directly to the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) database. With almost immediate response Officers can determine the person's identity, background, and whether they have active warrants. The Grant Request, approved by the Foundation, includes the device and all related software and hardware as well as a three year warranty. Approved Grant Request - $6,000.

  • Comprehensive Mobil Rescue System - To address the most critical emergencies – such as severe bleeding, airway obstructions, and traumatic injuries – as Officers await Palm Beach County's Fire-Rescue paramedics, Chief Smith asked the Police Foundation to fund a comprehensive rescue system that would always be in the Police supervisor’s patrol vehicle. The System, packaged in a durable carry case, comes with a built in Internet connected tablet that provides first responders with real-time, interactive instructions on how to use the equipment and to manage care while EMS is on the way. Approved Grant Request - $2,100.

  • Patrol Officers First Aid/Trauma Kits - To compliment the Automatic External Defibrillator (AEDs) currently carried by Officers in their patrol vehicles, Chief Smith asked the Police Foundation to fund additional Trauma Kits for each of the newly hired Officer. The Foundation funded similar kits for Officers prior to the pandemic, but with new Officers, additional kits were needed. Approved Grant Request - $2,200.

Thanks to the generous donations by our Juno Beach community the Police Foundation will continue in its efforts to "Help Ensure the Safety of Juno Beach."   We are very appreciative of the financial support provided by Town residents, businesses, and visitors.

Police Foundation Annual Campaign

The Annual Campaign of the Juno Beach Police Foundation began in December 2021, and continues into 2022.

Incorporated in 2018, the Police Foundation has, with the support of the community, purchased numerous important items for the Juno Beach Police Department to help improve both their efficiency and community safety.

Grants from the Foundation to the Juno Beach Police Department well exceed $150,000.

With your support and that of the overall Juno Beach community the Police Foundation will continue in its efforts to "Help Ensure the Safety of Juno Beach." Thank You!
