The Regional Services team will provide training to ensure all users are able to easily navigate the new and improved online system. As in the past, service provides will still be able to enter visit dates and Service Activity Reports (SAR), with tax invoices automatically generated once a SAR has been entered. Healthy Ears - Better Hearing, Better ListeningTransition period 1 July 2018 - 31 December 2018 HEBHBL service providers are kindly reminded to enter scheduled visit dates on to OMS. If any transition period services are to be cancelled, please notify the team via email as soon as possible. New services 1 January 2019 - 30 June 2019 Rural Health West is in the process of reviewing service proposals and will also engage with host facilities, local general practitioners and Aboriginal health services to discuss currently funded HEBHBL services. Feedback regarding the delivery of service, including service providers' engagement with staff, patient referrals and follow up will be discussed. Services that align with the Service Delivery Standards and regional needs will be put forward for endorsement by their respective Regional Working Group and the Australian Government Advisory Forum. Final approval will be sought from the Australian Government Department of Health. Notification of the outcome of applications is likely to be received in December 2018. The scholarship program is an initiative of the Australian Government Department of Health designed to improve access to health services in rural areas by helping health professionals to access ongoing study and development. Annual specialist survey 2018The annual Rural Health West specialist survey has been distributed to all visiting and resident medical specialists in regional, rural and remote communities across Western Australia. Data collected from the survey enables Rural Health West to improve our understanding of the level of specialist services provided to communities. We present comprehensive and accurate data to the Australian Government to ensure we can progress future service planning and continue to provide regions and health professionals with support services. GP Anaesthetists Education ForumSaturday 24 November and Sunday 25 November 2018 | Pan Pacific Perth Rural Health West will be hosting a two day education forum for GP anaesthetists. This will include lectures, small problem based discussions, simulation and skills stations happening concurrently over the weekend facilitated by experienced specialists. It will also be an opportunity to catch up and develop networks with fellow GP anaesthetists and colleagues. In addition to upskilling and education activities/resources, the registration fee will include lunch and refreshments, a sundowner event and accreditation for RACGP and ACRRM CPD points. Travel grants may be available for GP anaesthetists living and working in rural Western Australia. The provisional program is available here and registrations are now open.
