Meet over 50 industry leaders and specialists who will provide insights on how to responsibly address challenges from new frontiers. Increasing energy demand and the decline of easy oil and gas will take the industry into harsher, deeper and environmentally more challenging frontiers, and will require cross-stakeholder cooperation and technology solutions that are safer, smarter and greener. Statoil will present its Arctic experiences, and Shell will share lessons learnt in Alaska. |
|
Petrobras will highlight challenges in the ultra-deepwater pre-salt developments followed by a Canadian overview of operating excellence in unconventional oil and gas.
The World Petroleum Council’s two and a half day conference on Responsibility, Cooperation and Sustainability in the oil and gas sector will provide in-depth understanding and an analysis of the challenges we are facing and the technological and business solutions available.
Optional workshops and technical visits to Arctic operators and service companies round off the highly practical programme. |

Kongsberg Satellite Services AS (KSAT) are offering a chance for delegates of the WPC Leadership Conference to join a Technical Tour of their Headquarters on the evening of May 27.
KSAT pioneered the use of radar satellites for monitoring oil spills and seeps on the ocean surface twenty years ago, and now provides monitoring services in near real time to oil and gas companies around the world, from virtually every commercial radar and optical satellite in orbit today through its network of satellite antennas. A visit to their Tromsø facility just a short drive from the Conference venue will include the rare chance to view several satellite antennas and KSAT’s impressive new operations room. |
