Happy Thanksgiving! 2018 has been fabulous for Yarlung musicians. We’ve been celebrating GRAMMY® and International Classical Music Award nominations for Sibelius String Trio, the prestigious PFO Writer’s Award from Myles Astor this week for Nostos, a thrilling PFO Writer’s Award from Brian Moura for Yuko Mabuchi Trio and more. Recent recording successes include Jung-A Lee’s Organ Recital in Walt Disney Concert Hall and Michelle Mayne-Graves and her Lifeline Quartet, along with Yuko Mabuchi plays Miles Davis, both coming in 2019.
This Thanksgiving, we especially celebrate our Executive Producers, who make this music possible for our musicians. Join us! Make an album with one of our extraordinary musicians and help launch that person’s international concert career.
We also give thanks to the MacArthur Foundation which rewarded Robert Vijay Gupta (Suryodaya) with a “Genius Grant” last month for his musicianship and for his work with homeless people on the streets of Los Angeles. Thank you MacArthur and thank you Vijay for the important work you do every day. You deserve every accolade.
