IN THIS UPDATE:Running a Box Office & Ticketing Tips Running a Box Office & Ticketing TipsWho is looking after the Box Office for you Midsumma event - you or your venue? Ensure you check with your venue to ensure these responsibilites are clear. If you're running your Box Office, make sure you read our Every event producer should also read our Ticketing Tips & Hints document. This will give you important ticketing how-to instructions, including; Need to request your own complimentary tickets? Request them by filling out the Producer Comp Request Form (min. 48 hours prior to session). Acknowledgement of CountryMidsumma Festival encourages you to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land at the beginning of your event. This can take place as a verbal acknowledgement, prerecorded or as a written acknowledgement. Check our our Acknowledgement of Country resource for more info. Roving Rights for CarnivalThis is your final chance to register for Roving Rights at Midsumma Carnival. This opportunity allows you to promote your event by roving around Midsumma Carnival on Saturday 19 Jan handing out flyers and telling people about your event. As a registered event this is free (normally $2000). To register, please email events@midsumma.org.au by 18 Dec. March with Midsumma at Pride MarchThe 25th Midsumma Pride March will be held in St Kilda, starting at 11am on Sunday 2 Feb 2020. We invite all artists and producers to join the Midsumma contingent at Midsumma Pride March. Our group will be the final group marching to close Pride March. Head
HERE for more Pride March info. Public Liability Insurance Certificate - due 11 JanPlease send upload a copy of your Public Liability Insurance (PLI) certificate to Eventotron if you haven't already. If your venue is covering your PLI, please obtain a copy of this and upload it. This is really important as it protects you, your venue and Midsumma Festival if an accident occurs to your audience. Christmas BreakThe Midsumma Festival office will be closed Tues 24 Dec until Thurs 2 Jan. Staff will still be monitoring emails. It may take a day or so for anything to be actioned.
