Becoming a sister or brother is a biggie. So when you're picking out a gift for the new baby, remember that it’s nice to recognize the big kid in the house, too.

There are plenty of bedtime stories on the subject, but we found Jo Witek's Hello In There!: A Big Sister's Book of Waiting especially touching. Perhaps the sweetest of all are Brio Trio's totally charming handmade stuffed animal duos, like this Big Sister/Little Sister Owl Set ($38).
