Helping to enhance the safety of Juno Beach ![]() April 21, 2024 - Volume 7 Number 7 National Volunteer Week - April 21-27, 2024 ![]() National Volunteer Week is celebrated annually during the third week of April and this year it will be observed from April 21st to 27th. This week-long celebration is about placing a spotlight on inspiring figures whose invaluable seeds of kindness through volunteering are bettering the community and our world in general. This significant celebration which was established in 1974 provides the perfect opportunity to say THANK YOU. It also challenges us to do better and look for ways to be active participants, joining hands to impact our local communities and calling for more support. The Juno Beach Police Foundation extends its utmost gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated men and women who tirelessly contribute their time, effort, and unwavering commitment to serving our Juno Beach Police Department and the Town of Juno Beach. Their invaluable support and selfless dedication does not go unnoticed, and it is through their tireless efforts that our community thrives. Their unwavering dedication to the principles of community service and public safety is commendable, and their contributions significantly enhance the effectiveness of our local law enforcement efforts. The Police Foundation is profoundly grateful for the countless hours they invest in promoting safety, fostering positive relationships, and enhancing the quality of life for all Juno Beach residents. Thank you for your outstanding service, which truly makes Juno Beach a better place to live, work, and thrive. 26th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day ![]() The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs while also educating the general public about the potential for medication abuse. The next National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is scheduled for April 27, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This biannual event offers a safe, convenient, and responsible method for disposing of unused or expired prescription drugs. Police Officers and Police Volunteers will be on duty outside the Juno Beach Police Department. You can simply pull up and hand your items to an Officer or Volunteer without even having to park or leave your vehicle. Please note that liquids and syringes will NOT be accepted. The Juno Beach Police Department has been participating in the safe disposal of prescription medications for many years and is committed to providing any service we can to remove these unused and expired medications from households.
