PH Kindergarten eNews

Can you believe that we have made it to the last week of the school year? What an amazing year, and what amazing kids we have had the opportunity to love and teach! Thank you for sharing your child with us in Kindergarten.

Next Week

  • Monday:  Amazing Race Day (aka Field Day)
  • We will have a picnic lunch outside beginning at 12:00. We will have hot dogs, chips, Capri Suns, fruit, and a store-bought sweet treat of some kind for the students. If your child will/can enjoy that menu, you don't need to send a lunch on Monday - and please cancel your lunch order from Simply Divine on Boonli. If you would prefer your child to eat something other than the hot dog picnic menu, please pack a lunch from home for them. Everyone will eat outside in the shade that day. After lunch, students will come in for a few minutes for a restroom break, to collect their towels, and prepare for the games.
  • Field Day activities will begin at 1:00 and you are welcome to join us! Students will rotate through the games, waterslide, fire truck, and Kona Ice from 1:00-2:45ish. You might want to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. You are also welcome to help fill water buckets or whatever is needed to keep the games going. Once Field Day is over, you are welcome to take your child home, but please sign-out with the teacher before you leave.
  • Reminders for Field Day: Put sunscreen on your child that morning. Send a towel to school...students will get wet! Boys can wear swim trunks as shorts but will be required to keep their t-shirts on. Girls can wear a swimsuit underneath their shorts and t-shirts, but they will not be permitted to take off shorts or t-shirts. If your child will stay for Extended Care on Monday, please send a change of clothes.
  • Tuesday:  Awards Ceremony at 8:30 a.m.
  • Please join us in the Cross Church Worship Center for the Shiloh Pinnacle Hills 2023 Awards Assembly. Students should be dropped off at the school as normal and will be walked over to the church by their teacher. All students should dress according to our regular dress code (solid color polo-type shirts or dresses; khaki, navy or jean bottoms; etc.). All classes will have their turn on the stage for students to be recognized. Students will be dismissed for the year at the end of the Awards Assembly.
