We move into Autumn with a very busy events schedule. ARV Solutions are exhibiting at The Offsite Construction Show again after last year's massive success, and return to The Build Show in the Timber Expo area for the 6th time. Come and say hello at our stands, and do a benchmark check with our latest salary survey.

Additionally we are sponsoring both the Offsite Awards and The Structural Timber Awards, both held during UK Construction Week at the NEC.

We are investing in raising our profile more than ever to ensure we maintain and grow the best client contacts and networks to be able to offer the best new opportunities for you.

Thoughts for writing a standout CV

Will they want to read it? Don’t waffle. Keep the layout and tone of voice consistent and choose a font that is easy to read.

Relevance. Does your job experience relate to the job in question?

Be objective. Does your CV demonstrate you are right for the job? Read it back objectively.

Tips to prepare for a successful interview

• Research. Researching the company is a must but go further. Who are their competitors? Who is interviewing you? What is their position? Are they mentioned on the company’s website or in other publications or sources? more online.....

• Personal presentation. What will you wear? Read our top tips.....

• What will you say? Prepare answers to questions you think you might be asked but also make sure you have your own questions......

• Punctuality. Aim to be there 10-15 minutes early. This gives you a chance to look around, compose yourself and get a feel for the environment.

Graham Thomas joins Graham Brown (confusing?) in our hugely successful sales division. He brings a wealth of sales and business expertise to further expand in this area.

Chloe Burrell has been recruited to a new role of Marketing Coordinator. She has an unmatchable background from 10 years at the Internet Advertising Bureau! (the UK trade association dedicated to defining the future of digital advertising)

Rhian Newman returns to the construction team from maternity leave and is up and running for all your construction and international recruitment needs

Mollie Loughlin has joined us as an intern, learning a wide range of skills across our business in her gap year prior to studying Business at University.
