Keeping it Pink, Cook Pork to 145 Internal Temp

For years, we've cooked the flavor and tenderness right out of our favorite cuts of lean pork. Today, however, that's all going to change. The USDA recently announced that for lean cuts of pork, it's OK to cook to an internal temperature of 145 degrees, that's down from the traditional 160 degrees we're accustomed to.

So the next time you're out on the grill, or cooking in the kitchen, try the new recommended temp and see how much juicier and flavorful pork can really be, leave it just a little pink.

**NOTE You still need to cook ground pork and sausages to the recommended 160 degrees. **
