Advanced Placement Exams (AP) AP Exams will take place May 11-22 with make-ups during the June 1-5 window. Each subject’s exam will be taken at the same time worldwide. The exam schedule has been posted. Leader2Leader The Continuous Learning Template Districts are required to complete has been released from MDE and MAISA have created a Quick Start Guide to assist Districts and Schools as they work to complete their plans. What considerations do you need to have in mind as you think about creating and implementing this plan at the middle and high school level? Google Teach from Home Website Teaching from home requires a different approach to teaching and learning. In support, Google has created a toolbox of information and resources to help teachers during the coronavirus crisis- print and digital training materials for teachers. FREE Remote Learning Series from Michigan Virtual MV released a new six-part remote learning transition series for teachers. These free self-paced online courses feature examples and resources for reaching students, providing content, building relationships, social-emotional learning, and more. Each course also offers two State Continuing Education Clock Hours upon completion and is available to all teachers statewide. The courses allow for choice as teachers are able to move freely through the content. MDE MEMO: Best Practices for School Food Service Providing Meals During the COVID-19 Outbreak The Michigan Department of Education has received many questions about school nutrition personnel and volunteer safety for meal preparation and distribution during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the Michigan Department of Education and the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) jointly developed Best Practices for School Food Service Providing Meals During the COVID-19 Outbreak. The document is intended to help school nutrition and meal transportation personnel make informed decisions about COVID-19 to minimize the risk of exposure to staff and their families, as well as the children and families receiving meals.
