- Bar Chef, £21,000 to £23,000 per annum plus Tronc -

As a Bar Chef your primary role is to oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in your section. You will need to be very knowledgeable about your specialism, as well as culinary functions in general, plus:

  • Take the lead in managing and training Demi Chef de Parties and Commis working with you.
  • Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressure environment.
  • Be able to give orders within your section, as well as reliably carry out orders handed down to them by the Sous Chef and Head Chef.
  • Ensure you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety.
  • Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy after service.
  • Ensure that waste of all food items during food preparation is kept to a minimum.
