Wildlife Thriving in

Dear Safari Enthusiast,

There were some dramatic thunderstorms typical of this time of year at the start of our trip in Zimbabwe’s low-veld.  The rains had turned the landscape into beautiful greens… trees and bush thick with new spring foliage.  This meant we had to work a bit harder to find the wildlife. This paid off with many special sightings, the most memorable being a particularly close encounter with a black rhino cow and her sub adult calf at dusk, which certainly got the heart rates up!  We then headed into the abundance of the Okavango Delta, for a few days at Mombo, which never fails to produce the goods and lived up to its reputation of having some of the best year round game viewing in Africa. The opening video shows one of two families of cheetah that were in the Mombo area during our time there...great to have them back! We had a run of animals with their young including lion prides, cheetah families, leopards and wild dogs…enjoy the trip!

Regards
Lee

Pula and her cub!

This video of Pula, Legadema's daughter and her cub, displays just how playful young leopards are.  Legadema was the leopard star of the National Geographic documentary Eye of the Leopard, Mombo's – and Botswana's – most well-known feline.

BEST safari I have ever been on. We did not miss a sighting, everyone worked and played well together and the weather cooperated. You, of course, made it happen. Thanks again.
