In this issue: What is a Thinkster?

Meet with us.

August 2012

We believe in supporting our local BC food and beverage industry.

Over the years, we have had the privilege of working with manufacturers, processors and producers in the BC food and beverage industry.

This month we thought we'd share with you some of the great companies we have worked with, not just because we did their branding or packaging design, but because we believe in supporting our local food industry. Buying local is great, not just for our economy, but also because it helps local companies keep their market share against very large foreign brands with huge marketing budgets.

So without further ado, here are some great resources for your next "local" meal, and where you can buy them. (feel free to admire their packaging design while you do it):

Summ!

We are a huge fan of Summ! and fight over their crispy wontons. They also make amazing spring rolls, gyoza and egg rolls. Available at Costco and in the deli or freezer section of your local grocery store.

Oceans

Don't pick up just any tuna from the shelves, support our own BC brands! Ocean's tuna can be found at all major grocery stores.

Wendel's

These organic cookies are dairy and egg free, and delicious! You can buy them in their local Fort Langley store, or in specialty stores such as Nature's Fare.

Vitala

Mmmm. BC milk from BC cows. Enriched with healthy Omega-3 and CLA. Can be found at Nutrifoods and Whole Foods markets.

Studiothink Thinksters

You may have noticed that a few monsters appear scattered throughout our website, and are also on our Facebook and Twitter page (as well as the top of this newsletter!). Are you wondering who they are? Well, those are our own 'Thinksters', a collection of characters who each represent one of our staff. They not only lend a little creative flare to our brand, but also show off a bit of our fun, quirky side. Stay tuned for us having some fun with them in the upcoming months.

Client Profile: The Grove

Studiothink recently finished a website and branding for a local two and three bedroom townhome development in South Surrey, called the Grove at Cambridge. We have only seen the exterior rendering, but look forward to a seeing equally great interiors and kitchens from this dynamic husband and wife duo. To register, visit their site at www.grayrose.ca.

What is a brand agency?

Sometimes it is hard to explain what we do. I mean, we aren’t an ad agency, we aren’t a design company, or PR firm. We aren’t a web or SEO company. And yet, we provide all those services. The closest word we have to define what we do is: Branding. At Studiothink, being a brand agency means that each of our team members come from one fundamental background (sometimes 2), so all of us, individually, have our own career paths and education related to a specific field.
