Editor's note
|
Population growth and the pressures and opportunities it creates have profound impacts on Australian life. Some aspects, such as immigration, are hot-button political issues and sorting myths from facts can be difficult.
Our new series, Is Australia Full?, aims to help inform this wide-ranging and often emotive debate. To begin with, Liz Allen notes that Australia lacks a national population policy and argues that this should be the starting point for a more productive and sensible approach.
