Hail Hot Bottlers!

Raising my glass to you from Chicago where I'm filming my brand new beer series - coming soon to a TV near you!

As soon as I touch down back in the UK I’ll be roaring up to King’s Cross for the London Greek Wine Festival on the 8th & 9th October. Greek wine is close to my heart with a treasury of unique grape varieties, a long heritage of winemaking tradition and modern inspiration crafting a wealth of splendidly modern vino. I'll be leading a series of vibrant tastings throughout the festival – come and join me to discover the glory of Greek wine. Click for info and tickets.

I'll be off on P&O's Ventura to share some wine adventures in my Glass House bar from 11th -14th October if you fancy joining me for a sip aboard......and I’ll be hosting Harrods Winter Wine Tasting on 1st November – see you there!

For a last taste of summer, tune in to my Bank Holiday Barbecue with Levi Roots on BBC Radio 2, there are still a few more days left to listen. Let me fill your ears with music and your heart with the warm spirit of a Caribbean barbecue… with a few cheeky drinks to match!

And on that note, here are my two Hot Bottles and a classic can to keep you quenched as the leaves turn auburn:

Red

Venturer Series Costieres de Nimes 2013 (13.5%) Aldi £4.99.  A superb bargain red that’s as vibrant as black cherry the size of a Space Hopper.

White

Duo des Mers Sauvignon Viogner 2015 (12.5%) The Wine Society£5.25.  Bullseye! Spot on zesty refreshment headlines this divine little duet between Sauvignon and Viognier. Incredibly well priced.

Beer

Harvey’s Sussex Best Bitter 330ml (3.6%).  Fabulous new branding for one of my favourite beers and now it's in a can so you can take it anywhere!

Come and find me on Facebook, Twitter, WeChat ollysaysganbei and Instagram.  And on Snapchat ollysmithwine.
