This award is directed at surgeon-scientists working in the early stages of their research careers. The award requires co-sponsorship with the Society for Vascular Surgery Foundation (SVS Foundation) of a three-, four- or five-year period of supervised research experience that may integrate didactic studies with laboratory or clinically based research.
The competition’s goals and objectives include: soliciting a broad spectrum of innovative ideas; identifying and opening channels for investing in Wisconsin’s innovators; and cultivating partner relationships among key statewide institutions. MCW’s position in healthcare innovation means we have the knowledge and talent and creativity which make us an attractive partner for this endeavor.
Students, faculty and staff at all of Wisconsin’s universities, colleges, and technical schools are eligible to compete in this competition for financial and in-kind awards. Foxconn has pledged up to a $1 million dollars to this competition over three years.
At the start of the grant term on July 1, 2020, applicants must be in the last two years of their final subspecialty training and within 10 years of obtaining their medical degree; have a valid, active medical license in the country where the research will be conducted; have a mentor in the proposed research field from the sponsoring institution that will assume responsibility and provide guidance for the research; be able to commit at least 60% of full-time effort in research (applies to total research, not just the proposed project) during the grant term; be planning an investigative career in clinical oncology; and work in an oncology laboratory or clinical research setting at an academic medical institution
anywhere in the world.
The mission of the American Pediatric Surgical Association is: to ensure optimal pediatric surgical care of patients and their families, to promote excellence in the field, and to foster a vibrant and viable community of pediatric surgeons.
SSO’s annual symposium has grown and evolved significantly over the years to become a meeting that welcomes attendees from all practice settings and from all parts of the globe. This year’s symposium sessions are comprehensive in the range of topics and the depth of expertise delivered.
The Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (AHPBA), an incorporated, nonprofit organization, was created with a vision of devoting itself to relieving the human suffering caused by HPB disorders throughout the world, by improving education, training, innovation, research and patient care.
The ASE Foundation was established by the ASE as a separate, non-profit corporation in 1993. The Foundation’s mission is to advance the quality of surgical education in North America by raising and disseminating funds to underwrite high impact, innovative research projects and educational programs that will address the critical onhealthy nexium issues related to surgical education.
