Stay in touch with us! Let us hear from you!

Since joining the College in September 2011, one of the repeated themes I’ve heard from our graduates is “We want to know more about what is happening at our Alma Mater, so that we can become more involved—and be of more help.”

One means of doing that is by reinstating the E-Newsletter for OLHCC graduates.  So…here we go!  You are looking at our first edition.

This is a newsletter primarily for you, the over 4600 graduates-of-record from our 96-year-old College.  We want to feature items important to you.  Let's join together to produce  the hottest, most  anticipated e-newsletter around! We are looking forward to your input regarding topics, updates, announcements and more!

Just e-mail me (smorgan@olhcc.edu) with information and ideas. And, particularly, news about you and those in your life.  Have a new job?  A new addition to the family?   Working toward another degree or credential? Moved to a new town?  Let us share that information (in addition to general news of the College) with your fellow graduates.  We plan to publish on a monthly basis.

Coordinator of Alumni and Community Relations

Presidential Search at OLHCC

As this issue “goes to press,” members of the OLHCC community are awaiting news of the selection of our next president. Recently, three finalists visited campus for extensive conversations with students, faculty, staff, alumni and others associated with the College. The three finalists were winnowed from an original applicant pool of nearly 40.  When the selection is offically determined by the Board of Regents, it will be publicized widely---including via a special edition of this newsletter.  Detailed background about the search is available on the College's website at: http://www.olhcc.edu/news-and-events-index/presidential-search-info.html.  Meantime, popular and 20+ year OLHCC faculty member Dr. Myles Seghers continues to serve as our well-regarded Interim President.
