NEST NEWS
Dear Friends
As you may recall from our newsletter dated 13 September, it was only 2 weeks ago that we received two awards for ”Best British Restaurant” and the highly coveted “Restaurant of the Year”.
Well I have some more news I wish to share with you!
On Monday the 26th of September, we were invited to the London Hilton
on Park Lane to attend the most prestigious national awards ceremony, the AA Hospitality Awards 2011 – 2012. Some of Britain’s finest establishments were represented on this Gala evening hosted in the Grand Ballroom.
“The AA Hospitality Awards bring together some of the most influential people within the hospitality industry to recognise the outstanding accomplishments of high-achieving AA establishments and individuals”
After a delightful dinner created by French masterchef Pierre Gagnaire, the ceremony commenced hosted by Sophie Raworth.
Amanda and I, and all of us here at “The Nest” are simply over the moon after returning from our wonderful capital city of London having won the
“The Best Pub In England 2011/2012”
Trophy and award.
With the ever more discerning clientele, it is so important to try and exceed their expectations. These leading AA awards are vital to our industry to maintain standards.
Considering we only opened our doors to the public in June last year, we are truly delighted to receive this prestigious award.
It is a testament to the investment in infrastructure and through sheer dedication and hard work from our entire team at THE NEST that this has been made possible.
And once again I wish to thank you our customers/friends for your continued support.
Thank you all
Tony Timmer
PS: Do not forget the South African wine tasting dinner taking place on the
14th October – Numbers are limited to 40 and I highly recommend you

AA Hotel Services manager, Simon Numphud, said,
“This delightful former Malthouse is a worthy winner of the England AA Pub of the Year.
It has been impressively renovated to a high standard by its new owners and the
result is a gastronomic pub. The food is a delight, there’s a great range of ales,
strong wine list and friendly service."
