WHAT ARE KNOWLEDGE INTENSIVE SERVICES?

Knowledge Intensive Services are provided by organisations that use high-value knowledge and technology to drive their business. They are involved in industries such as professional, technical and scientific; education and training; information media and telecommunications; and provide specialist services to the high-value manufacturing, clean technology and resources and energy sectors.

WORKING WITH INDUSTRY

The Department for Manufacturing, Innovation, Trade, Resources and Energy (DMITRE) is working with the Knowledge Intensive Services sector to ensure it is positioned to capitalise on opportunities created by the state’s $109 billion dollars in major projects as well as the expanding global services market.
