4th Grade eNews

Thank you for helping us celebrate the successful conclusion of another novel study! We are blessed with a fun group of parents & students!

Next Week

  • Bible: This week we will be studying how Jesus was fully God, yet fully man.
  • Bible Verse: John 1:1,14 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…The Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We observed His glory, the glory as the One and Only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”  
  • Spelling: Latin stems cede, ceed, scede, cess:   Exceed, proceed, succeed, accede, conceed, intercede, recede, supercede, access, excess, process, success. The water receded after the storm.
  • Classes will be competing in a homeroom spelling bee to determine our winners to compete in the elementary school bee. You will receive an email from your homeroom teacher letting you know when the bees are complete and who has won their classroom bee. Good luck to every student!
  • Language: Ch. 5 Test and writing a 5-paragraph expository essay
  • Math: Begin Factoring and review of time measurements
  • Reading: Begin our new skill; Theme and start the novel Charlotte’s Web
  • Social Studies: Continue Chapter 4: American Independence

Christmas Ornament Fundraiser

The 1st Annual Elementary Christmas Ornament Fundraiser is going on now!  Because of the generosity of a Shiloh Family, 100% of the profit from the proceeds will go toward 27 new laptops for the Elementary Computer Lab. 

Five beautiful clear acrylic designs are available and are $15 each.  Order forms are available in the Elementary office, and are due by November 15.  Orders will be delivered to the school on December 6.

Important Dates

  • Nov 12 - Blue/Gold Basketball Game and Pancake Supper
  • Nov 25-29 - Thanksgiving Break  (No School)
