UNSW Info Day is your chance to speak with current students, teaching and support staff to help you to choose the best creative degree for you.

 

UNSW Art & Design provides the nation's most comprehensive range of art, design and media degrees.

 

At Info Day you'll get the chance to join a free Portfolio Entry Workshop to learn about how to prepare and develop your creative portfolio to boost your chances of admission into UNSW Art & Design.

 

We offer an innovative, supportive and challenging learning and teaching environment to reflect the best contemporary thinking and practice, extensive industry engagement and leading edge research. 

 

Join Professor Marie Sierra, practicing artist and Deputy Dean of UNSW Art & Design at the Creative Degrees: Art, Design & Media Showcase as she provides an overview of creative degree options, explains rewarding creative opportunities and career pathways available to Art & Design students, and presents outstanding examples of student contemporary art, digital media creation and design innovation.

Our teaching staff, including leading artists and designers will be available on Info Day between 11am-4pm. Chat to them about our programs and your options.

Design student

The Bachelor of Design degree offers an integrated education linking key specialisations of design. Our design students work in collaborative environments building experience in established, new and emerging technologies, and developing knowledge, skills and capacities for design thinking.

 

Specialise in Graphics, Objects, Environments, Interactive, Identity, Branding, Advertising, Management, Strategy, Theory, History, Ceramics, Jewellery, Textiles.

Media Arts class

The Bachelor of Media Arts is an innovative, industry-aligned and research-active program that provides students with a strong foundation across contemporary creative media and technology production.

 

Specialise in Animation, Video, Film and TV, Sound, VFX, 3D Environments, Film, TV, Online and Mobile Technologies, Interactive Media, Media Strategy, Multiplatform Design, Advertising and PR.

Fine arts studio

The Bachelor of Fine Arts is studio practice-based, fosters a spirit of inquiry and provides students with opportunities to work within and across established and emergent disciplines and technologies.

 

Specialise in Installation and Environments, Jewellery, Drawing, Painting, Performance, Printmaking, Sculpture, Textiles, Analogue and Digital Photography, Ceramics, Digital Media and Emerging Technology, Film and Video Art Production, Interactive Media.

Art Theory student

The Bachelor of Art Theory is designed specifically for aspiring thinkers, producers, curators, innovators and entrepreneurs interested in pursuing a career in the creative and cultural sectors.

 

Specialise in Contemporary Art and Design Thinking, Publishing and Curatorial Studies, Contexts for Creative Practice, Research and Analysis, Cultural Leadership.

HSCyalater FESTIVAL

HSCyalater

Celebrate while getting to know UNSW to help you get in the uni zone. We've put together a program of bands, food trucks, festival games, DJs and more as part of the HSCyalater Festival that will be running at the same time as Info Day. Check out the full program of events here.
