A member of the 2014 Academy Award Winning VFX team for the film Gravity, UNSW Art & Design graduate Duncan Ransom's New York-based company, The Endless Collective, has created the visual effects for a VR work titled The Hubble Cantata. An immersive audio-visual experience The Hubble Cantata brings together a 100-person choir, a 20-piece ensemble, two international opera stars and takes audiences on a journey inside the Orion Nebula, located some 1,344 light years from Earth. The experience has already premiered in the US including at the prestigious Kennedy Center in Washington DC and may soon make its way to Sydney.
