Wow!  We can hardly believe that it is November!  Next week, we will begin our unit on the First Thanksgiving.  We love teaching the children how God was intricately involved in this part of our history.  We also want to focus on being thankful for our many blessings.  Each teacher is so thankful for the children we teach and for the parents!  Thank you for sending your child to Shiloh and allowing us to share part of our days with your child!

• Bible Verse: “Give thanks to the Lord for He is good.” Psalm 118:1 (We will practice this verse during November.  Practice at home too.)
• Bible: The First Thanksgiving (Although this story is not from God’s word, we will learn how this event from our history was part of God’s plan)
• Reading/Phonemic Awareness: We will introduce the letter “Jj” and the sound that /j/makes. (Think jar and jelly)
• Math: #6, patterns, more/less
• Unit: The First Thanksgiving
• Show and Tell: Bring something that begins with the letter Jj.

The 1st Annual Elementary Christmas Ornament Fundraiser is going on now!  Because of the generosity of a Shiloh Family, 100% of the profit from the proceeds will go toward 27 new laptops for the Elementary Computer Lab. 

Five beautiful clear acrylic designs are available and are $15 each.  Order forms are available in the Elementary office, and are due by November 15.  Orders will be delivered to the school on December 6.

• November 12 - Pancake Supper and Blue/Gold Game at the Springdale Campus Shiloh band and basketball teams will host a pancake dinner, followed by the Blue/Gold basketball scrimmage games. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased from any band student or basketball player.
• November 22 - Everyone is welcome to come out for the annual Turkey Trot Mileage Club 1:30 - 2:30
• November 25-29 - Thanksgiving Break
