Spanish Insulin Pump Makes Big Difference for Patient's Diabetes Control

Javier Chavez was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was 18 years old. For the last 20 years, Chavez has been injecting himself with insulin three to four times a day. Thanks to a collaborative effort with the staff at Nebraska Medicine — Diabetes Center, Chavez recently became the first patient to receive an insulin pump in Spanish.
