SEASON START 2012

North Sailing Schooners

Another winter has passed by, giving us time to move our boat fleet to the shipyard for it’s yearly restoration and makeover.
We are therefore ready as ever and very excited about our season start on April 1st.

Change in our timetable:

Due to customer demand, our ever popular tour Húsavík Original Whale Watching (NS-1) will be offered once a day at 13:30 from April 1st -14th and as of April 15th we have added a 10:00 o‘clock departure to our schedule.

Gradually, we increase the number of tours throughout the summer season and our plan is to operate till October 20th.

Whales, Puffins and Sails (NS-2) starts this year on May 15th. This is a unique sailing tour that combines whale watching, bird watching and a sailing adventure aboard one of our two schooners.

During high season, our tours escalade up to 14 departure per day and we feel confident that with your help, summer of 2012 will be a very successful one – we welcome your clients to Húsavík for an unforgettable whale watching experience.

Do not forget Ólafsfjörður Whale Watching (NSO-1), which was a great success with great humpback whale sightings during our starting season of 2011. We remind you to also point out to your customers this new whale watching destination.

Commission agreement 2012 & Brochures

Most of you have received your commission agreement for 2012 with us as well as our Product & Rates files. If you are missing yours, send me a line – instant reply guaranteed!

Our 2012 Brochure is fresh out of the printers and ready to be sent to you – anywhere in the world – please send an email to info@northsailing.is advising number of copies and mailing address.

I am not sure if you feel the same but workload on my desk and online bookings have increased dramatically over the past months and my prognosis is that 2012 will be a very successful summer for the whole travel industry in Iceland.

Iceland has had a lot of publicity – good and bad – but a classic quote by the known Irish dramatist, novelist & poet Oscar Wilde came to my mind. I want to end this newsletter to you all by quoting him it and look forward to a GREAT WHALE WATCHING summer in cooperation with you all:

„The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about.“
