High-resolution data exports now available

Would you like to export high-resolution data from VCOM that covers longer time periods.

You can do so in just a few seconds with the new tool CSV Export. Thanks to the intuitive user interface, you can export the selected data trails with a single click – in interval resolution and for several systems.

You will find the new tool in the Report area (shortcut: “R” key).

New self-consumption graphic

We have redesigned the self-consumption graphic: You will now receive clearly structured information about your self-consumption. You can also obtain a graphical presentation of power values and of percentage distribution.

After configuration in term administration, the graphic will appear automatically in the evaluation area.

NEW: blue’Log X series is UL-certified

[Graphic: Blue line]

The blue’Log X series has successfully completed the certification process of Underwriters Laboratories Inc. ® and may now display the UL certification mark. We sought the certification primarily for use in the U.S. PV market. We also believe that the seal of approval will help us market our monitoring hardware in Europe.

What is special about UL certification?
UL certification is a true quality seal. UL conducts elaborate tests of products and their potential components. It also examines the production process. Comprehensive checks are conducted before approval is issued. UL inspectors regularly make unannounced visits to certified companies, creating a continuous monitoring process of the standards.

UL certification mark
UL has a variety of seals - here is a brief description of two of them:

  • UL listing mark: An encircled UL with the word “LISTED” beneath it. The mark means that the product has been tested by UL and meets its standards.
  • UL recognized-component mark: A mirror-inverted R with a U. The mark signifies that these approved components may be used in a product with a UL listing mark.

meteocontrol welcomes a delegation from Uruguay and Argentina

The number of new systems  is constantly growing in the Latin American market. In addition, experts are projecting tremendous rates of growth for the future. Total power output rose from 1.6 GWp in 2016 to 3.8 GWp in 2017. The figure is expected to double this year and reach 6.1 GWp, according to the GTM Research Report Q4/2017.

We entered the LATAM market in the fall of 2017 with the establishment of meteocontrol Chile SpA and meteocontrol Central America S.A. de C.V. We have been increasing our business activities there ever since. During Intersolar Europe 2018, a delegation from Uruguay and Argentina visited us in Augsburg. The Uruguayan Chamber of Commerce organized the business trip. The visitors from a range of companies were introduced to the product portfolio of meteocontrol and were given a detailed explanation about the monitoring portal VCOM.

Tremendous interest at the meteocontrol trade fair booth:

A delegation from Mexico visited us at Intersolar 2018, and was mainly interested in meteocontrol’s hardware and the VCOM portal for monitoring and controlling PV systems.
