Hi there,

There’s a new credit card fraud prevention measure in town, with Visa and several payment gateway providers announcing the Kiwi launch of credential-on-file tokenisation.

COF offers another layer of security, replacing the need to store sensitive information such as card numbers and expiration dates with unique digital identifiers – the token. And those tokens are merchant specific, rendering them useless for hackers. With the frequency of breaches involving payment data, the rollout has to be encouraged.

But COF also offers some strong benefits for businesses beyond security, as we discovered this week.
