WSU College of Nursing announced that it has received accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education
for its bachelor’s, master’s and doctor of nursing practice programs. CCNE ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate, graduate and residency programs in nursing.
WSU College of Nursing completed a rigorous on-site review and submitted a nearly 500-page self-study report in March 2014. During the on-site review, accreditors evaluated compliance with CCNE accreditation standards and professional nursing guidelines and best practices. The accreditors also conducted on-site observations and interviews with all College of Nursing sites, including Tri-Cities, Yakima, Vancouver and Walla Walla. Though the accreditation was just officially granted, it will be dated effective March 5, 2014.
