Pastor Appreciation Month: October is Pastor Appreciation Month and a special time that we set aside each year to honor our pastors and their families for the hard work, sacrificial dedication, and many blessings provided by these special people. We focus our efforts in October, but it is also important to remember that appreciation and affirmation of our spiritual leaders is appropriate throughout the year. God has instructed us to recognize his servants: "The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching." 1 Timothy 5:17

Law Enforcement Recognition: MVCC would like to recognize and honor members of the law enforcement community during services this coming weekend. Please drop us a note at office@mvccfrederick.com and let us know a little about you, where and how you serve, and feel free to include your name and contact information.

Dive-In: Group study continues Sunday at 9:15am in the adult classroom with our 12-week-long video series on the "Foundations of Apologetics." Join us to learn how to recognize the many worldviews influencing our culture and get equipped to challenge the assumptions they are founded upon in a winsome and effective manner.  Leif Dahl will be facilitating the discussion following the video.

Bible Study: Friday, 6:30am, in The Pit. This week we continue our “Gods at War” series, by Kyle Idleman, with video and discussion entitled "God of Power" which delves into the dangers and destructive powers of this "god" that walks hand-in-hand with pride. So, come early to join us for coffee, donuts, & the "occasional breakfast burrito." Whether you like to add your own thoughts to the discussions or just like to listen, it’s a fantastic way to start out a Friday.
