So it is now November and our last newsletter was sent out in June. Much has happened and is happening since then, so this will be a bumper edition.
However, in this introductory paragraph I would particularly like to highlight a couple of outstanding items.
• Firstly, I’d like to thank Maggie, Dale and Ben – I have spent so much time on the road in the last few months and they have kept the ship smoothly sailing along, I’m not sure anyone noticed my absence.

• Drum roll!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have just launched our new website. The old website has served us well for ten years – but it is time for a refresh. So check it out at www.forensicfoundations.com.au. One issue we have discovered is that web links in previous newsletters and social media posts, don't work, however we are working on rectifying this situation.

And thirdly, there is a big announcemnt coming. One of the reasons for the delay in distributing the newsletter, was that we hoped we to include the annoucment in this newsletter - but that was not to be.

Forensic Foundations’ Proficiency Tests are designed to test the end-to-end forensic process – from collection to court. The 2018/9 program covers a range of forensic disciplines and in addition to the advertised program, we are working with a number of discipline groups to directly address their specific needs.
The 2018/9 Proficiency Test flyer can be downloaded here. More information regarding the underlying philosophy and design of the tests can be downloaded here – brochure and video. Tests can be purchased on-line by credit card or by invoice, or contact us directly.
In addition to the tests discussed in these documents, we are in discussion with the following discipline groups:
• Pathology;
• Palynology;
• Odontology & anthropology;
• Fire scene investigation; and
• Digital Forensics.

New 'Advanced Court Skills' workshop announced
|
 |
|
 |
Forensic Foundations has conducted the 'Expert Witness Training' and 'Provision of Expert Evidence' workshop for the last 10 years. In 2019 we will be formally launching the 'Advanced Court Skills' workshop.
We all recognize giving oral testimony in court is a skill as important, as the technical aspects of forensic practitioners’ role.
Whilst many practitioners have participated in some introductory training, this workshop is designed for forensic practitioners with some (or a lot) of experience giving evidence and aims to build on that experience.
The workshop will run for two days in a ‘real’ courtroom with access to video link and participants can attend day one, day two or both days. READ MORE
And don't forget to register for the 'Expert Witness Training workshop (early bird rates apply) or contact us to discuss the 'Provision of Expert Evidence' workshop.
