Sherwood Physical Therapists Now SFMA Certified!

space
space

Recently, physical therapists Laura Evans, PT, DPT, and Victoria Bryson, PT, DPT, received certification as SFMA (Selective Funcational Movement Assessment) certified providers.

What this means for you?

Our therapists will take a more holistic approach to your treatment!

Rather than just looking at the area of your body that is hurt, the SFMA assessment is a total body scan to break down the source of your symptoms, not just the “victim”. Many times this scan will uncover the source of the problem in a much more remote location then where the pain is felt. This allows your therapist to quickly determine the right treatment approach including manual therapy and exercise to address the source.

If you're interested in learning more about the SFMA certication, please feel free to give us a call (503-625-1691) or visit the official SFMA website.
