2023 Online Short Course | Clinical Rehabilitation

Stroke Rehabilitation

Dear All,

A reminder that registrations for our 2023 Stroke Rehabilitation online short course are now available!

The course will be open from the 14th August until the 10th September. Those who register by the 10th August will have the full 4 weeks to complete the course.

This 2-day equivalent online short course will explore key principles for the rehabilitation of a person following stroke. We will discuss the physiology of stroke and the latest evidence regarding interventions for acute priorities as well as longer term needs. Various disciplinary interventions and supportive technology will be discussed to maximise the benefits of an interprofessional approach.

The online course is organised into modules and delivered through the Flinders Learning Online (FLO) platform. Course content consists of written materials, video presentations and some activities to supplement your learning. There is also a question and discussion forum which will be monitored by our teaching staff who were involved in the development of the content.

Printed pre-readings will be posted to you prior to the commencement date. These are provided to supplement your learning and are not required to progress through the course, so you are welcome to get started prior to these arriving in the mail. Upon course completion a certificate will be awarded acknowledging your professional development.
