Through the Academy of Champions for Energy, the Ace partners work together to promote the uptake of renewable energy throughout North West Europe and to increase sustainable energy expertise across the EU.

Nominations for the local Ace Awards now open in Ireland

Codema and Tipperary Energy Agency are delighted to announce that they have joined forces with the LAMA Community & Council Awards to roll out the local implementation of the Ace Awards in Ireland.  Deadline for nomination is Friday 4th October and deadline for submission is Friday, 25th October.

Loenen wins Dutch “Energetic Villages” competition

Congratulations to the village of Loenen which was announced as the winner of the Dutch “Energetic Villages” competition.

The competition was run by the Municipality of Apeldoorn in association with the province of Gelderland and the three villages competing in the final were Beekbergen, Loenen and Radio Kootwijk.

Ireland’s First Community-Owned Wind Farm Opens

Ireland’s first community owned wind farm was officially opened by Minister Pat Rabbitte, TD Minister for Communications, Energy & Natural Resources in Templederry Co. Tipperary on Monday, 16th September. Templederry Community Wind Farm counts students, farmers and a local priest amongst its owners.

Lycée Agricole de Coutances selected for French Investment

The Lycée Agricole de Coutances has been selected as the successful project bearer for a collective methanisation unit which will receive investment as part of the Ace project and is being led by French partner Les 7 Vents.
