At the end of November, Grant is being inducted into Massey University's College of Creative Arts Hall of Fame. He joins previous inductees Richard Taylor (Weta Workshop), fashion design stars Kate Sylvester and Rebecca Taylor, Mark Pennington (Formway industrial designer) and the artist Gordon Walters, and sculptor Len Lye posthumously.Instigated in 2007, the Hall of Fame recognises outstanding contributions through art and design to New Zealand's economy, reputation and national identity by former students or staff of the college. This year will also see the induction of photographer Jane Ussher, and (posthumously) painter and printmaker John Drawbridge. College Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Claire Robinson says: "We are celebrating these great alumni for their role in visually defining and reflecting upon ourselves as nation, and for what they have contributed to New Zealand's economic, intellectual and cultural growth. Our students today truly stand upon the shoulders of giants.” |
Matt joins us as Online Director after 10 years in San Diego as Director of Technology for award-winning digital agency Digitaria. Matt has been at the forefront of web development and he brings an invaluable international viewpoint. With online strategy growing in importance, Matt will be involved in delivering 'on-brand' web solutions for new and existing clients. |
Natasha joins our design team. She graduated from Massey University in Wellington in 2007 with a First Class Honours degree. Besides a love of art photography and design, Natasha is inspired by music and continues to enjoy playing classical piano. Natasha is already recognised as an outstanding industry performer - she won Gold in the Student category of The Best Design Awards in 2008 for her graduation thesis. |
