Super Crochet Girl needs your help!
Meet Super Crochet Girl, created by Loughborough based artist Sarah Green, she is currently working closely with Charnwood Arts on a project about messages during the First World War but she needs your help! We need a flock of handcrafted birds to carry messages. They can be knitted, crocheted, sewn, felted, how they are made is up to you. We do ask that your birds are no bigger than a piece of A5 paper and we would also like you to include a message with your bird – it might help to remember that we have been thinking about messages/poems that might have been sent to loved ones during the First World War. Please also give your bird a name. Please send completed birds and messages to: Charnwood Arts 27 Granby Street, Loughborough, Leics, LE11 3DU. Examples of birds can be seen on the Super Crochet Girl blog:
http://supercrochetgirl.wordpress.com/ contact the artist: shiney1809@hotmail.co.uk or Big Knitting Group coordinator Jemma Bagley at Charnwood Arts: jemmab@charnwoodarts.com The deadline for birds is the end of May.
