Karen Walz Recertifies as Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist

Therapeutic Associates Physical Therapy of Redmond is pleased to announce that Karen Walz, PT, MA, OCS, FAAOMPT  Redmond clinic director, has recently recertified as an Orthopedic Clinic Specialist (OCS), which is awarded solely upon successful completion of the re- certification examination process administered by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS).

 

As an OCS, Karen is part of an elite group of specialists that has met the standards set by experts in the field of orthopedic physical therapy. This includes application of advanced knowledge and clinical skills in orthopedic physical therapy as well as mentoring, leadership, research, and teaching application requirements.

 

Karen has specialized in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy since 1991, is also a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists and a clinical fellowship instructor with NAIOMT.  She has been clinic director at Therapeutic Associates Redmond Physical Therapy since 2006 and excels in treatment of orthopedic, occupational health, women’s health and pain management disorders. She received her physical therapy graduate degree from Stanford University, School of Medicine, Division of Physical Therapy.
