Encourage your student to download New CardSafe app
UofL is implementing several new programs to enhance campus safety this fall. Those new programs and many of the university’s existing safety efforts have been merged into one comprehensive program, CardSafe, and featured on a new safety website Louisville.edu/CardSafe.
The job search for Internship Jobs should start early, ideally sophomore/junior year. And, graduating students should begin the job search 6-9 months before graduation to land job offers early. Parents can remind students to find jobs, internship jobs, summer jobs and part-time jobs with on-line Cards CareerLink.
NOW is a great time too, for students and graduating students to get LinkedIn for professional career connections/networking and its jobs & jobs directory. Students can also get their professional photo for LinkedIn taken by appointment at the UofL Career Development Center.
5K Run/Walk on Campus to Benefit Student Veterans: Nov. 8
Join us at the Run With Our Heroes 5K and celebrate the men and women and their families who have so proudly served our nation.
The 5K route takes you throughout the entire UofL campus. Proceeds from the Run With Our Heroes 5K will support the UofL Veterans Services Fund and Behavioral Health Programs at Seven Counties Services. The UofL Veterans Services Fund was established as a commitment to military students and veterans at the University of Louisville; the proceeds will directly benefit military and veteran students pursuing their education at the University of Louisville.
When Lt. Col. Thomas Russell-Tutty decided it was time to take the next step in his U.S. Army career, his first choice was the Army War College Fellow program at the University of Louisville.
